Artis Louise Brown, the daughter of Frasier Lee and Beulah Elvira (Lee) Cragg, was born October 11, 1934 in Forrest City, Arkansas and departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2018 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 12 days.

Louise was a very devout Christian and she loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed reading her Bible and she was a strong Prayer Warrior for her family, her church and her community. The Lord was always first in her life, but her family was a very close second. Spending time with her family brought joy to her heart and she loved every one of them very much.

Louise enjoyed cooking and she made the best fried chicken ever, her biscuits and gravy were always a good choice as well. She also enjoyed sewing, working in the flower garden and fishing, especially bass fishing. Louise touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband GE Brown; her daughter Brenda Brown; her sons Edgar Brown, Randy Brown, and Mark Brown; her sisters Alene Bearpaw, Christine Stevens, Ray Scott, Betty Fowler, Doris Smith, and Mary Denny; and her brother Fred Cragg.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Karen Sellers and husband Bill of Stilwell, Timmy Brown of Stilwell, Marion Sissy Spearman and husband Sam of Stilwell, and Denise Brown of Stilwell; her brother Bill Cragg and wife Earlene of Stilwell; her sister Ruby Brown of Baron; a lifelong friend whom she thought of as a son, Alford Grant and wife Teresa of Stilwell; 12 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Joe Funburg and Bro. Bandy Brown officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at hartfuneralhome.net
