George T. Bolin
April 10, 1938 - June 24, 2009
George T. Bolin was born April 10, 1938, to Jay and Myrtle (Painter) Bolin in Bunch, Oklahoma. He left for Heaven on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 14 days at his home surrounded by his loving family.
George was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, horse racing and hanging out at the coffee shop with his buddies, but the light of his life was his family. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren more than life and was a favorite uncle for all the children he met.
George retired from the City of Stilwell in 1993 after 25 years of service. He and Kay owned Cherry Tree Grocery and he thoroughly enjoyed all the people he came to know as a result of that.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Jimmy Cay Bolin, one brother, Loy Bolin and two sisters, Bea Carr and Katie Flieg.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Kay (Rich) Bolin, of the home; four children, David Bolin and his wife, Penny, of Stilwell; Rita Darlene Easterday and her husband, Roger, of Springfield, MO; Lisa Bolin and Kenny Buckner, of Stilwell and Randy Bolin, of Stilwell, 13 grandchildren, Brian and Ashlie Bolin, Crystal Johnson and husband, Jason, Charles Sellers, Corrina Bennett and husband, Butch, Dane Easterday and wife, Candy, Shellie Lisenbee, Randall Buckner and wife, Susan, Jesse and Kellie Buckner, Katelyn, Benny and Dylan Bolin; 8 great grandchildren, Katie Clinton, Frankie Glenn Jr., Winter Lisenbee, Zachary Johnson, Kristian and Jacob Bennett, Roland and Alex Easterday; two brothers, Andrew and Leon Bolin, of Stilwell; five sisters, Margaret Bunch, of CA, Daisy Phillips, of Corpus Christi, TX, Sue Rich, of Stilwell, Jewell Hall, of Anthony, KS, Sadie Issac, of Gans and Jack Ball, a very close family friend. He is also survived by a host a nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
George was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed by all.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. Blue Hothouse officiating.
Interment will follow at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
