Taylor Beaver Sr.
January 20, 1915-February 1, 2008
Taylor Beaver Sr., the son of Samuel Beaver and Jennie (Scraper) Beaver was born on January 20, 1915 in Adair County, OK., and departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior on February 1, 2008 in Stilwell, OK., at the age of 93 years and 11 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Flora Beaver, 1 infant sister, 1 grandchild; Brenda Boyer, and 1 great grandchild; Kyrsten Paige Holt.
Taylor was orphaned at a young age. His father died in WWI and his mother died when he was 3 years old. He grew up in the Lyons Community of Adair County. He was in the first graduating class of Sequoyah High School and was the last surviving graduate of his class. He proudly served his country during the Korean War.
He was married to Flora Israel on November 14, 1934 and to this union 5 children were born, 3 sons; Taylor Beaver and wife Susie, Tommy Beaver all of Stilwell, OK., and David Beaver and wife Dee of Farmington, NM., 2 daughters; Glenna Ford and husband Myrl of Owasso, OK., and Darlene Beaver of Stilwell, OK., 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in the Sequoyah Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Bunch officiating.
Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
