Graveside services for William M. Rhodes were held 10 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2004 at Spade Mountain Cemetery with Mr. Gerald Buckner officiating. Burial was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.

William M. Rhodes, son of Christopher Pitt Rhodes and Edna (Bennett) Rhodes, was born September 15, 1932 in Hazard County, Kentucky and departed this life May 13, 2004 at Stilwell Memorial Hospital at the age of 71 years, seven months and 28 days.

William worked for Jet Stream Plastics and served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Korean War. He enjoyed reading, watching wrestling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Pleasant View Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary and Virgie; two brothers, Ralph and J. R.; one son, William Hayes Rhodes; and two grandchildren, Adam Wade Gatliff and Ronnie Alan Rhodes.

William is survived by one son, Ronnie Rhodes and wife Tonya of Stilwell, OK; three daughters, Sheryl Gatliff and husband Vernon of Kingman, AZ, Diana Walker and husband Clifton, Edna Swilley and husband Steve of Stilwell; two sisters, Martha Rhodes of Summerville, OH and Gladys Rhodes of Hamilton, OH; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
