Graveside services for Clyde LeRoy Chaffin, 65, Stilwell, were held May 6 at Spade Mountain Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Fourkiller officiating.

He was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Marble City to Fred Chaffin and Orpha Breeden Chaffin. He died May 3 at the Stilwell Nursing Home.

He was married to Myrle Fredrick on March 2, 1946, in Stilwell. He was a retired farmer and a lifetime resident of the area.

He is survived by his wife, Myrle of the home; two sons, Freddy and Zeddy Chaffin, both of Stilwell; four daughters, Jean Fuson, Jerlean Fuson, Alice Springwater and Lisa Buckner, all of Stilwell; two brothers; Johnny Chaffin, Springdale, Ark., and Fred Chaffin, Colorado; one sister, Myrtle Fuson, Stilwell and 11 grandchildren.

Graveside services for Myrle Chaffin were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Spade Mountain Cemetery with Pastor Larry Swafford officiating. Burial was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.

Myrle Rene Chaffin, the daughter of Nora and Albert Frederick, was born January 19, 1930. She departed this life April 13, 2009 at the age of 79 years.

She worked at Facet for many years until she retired. She was married to Clyde Leroy Chaffin and they lived in Stilwell for many years. Myrle loved spending time with her family and going to church and listening to gospel music. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were, her parents, Nora and Albert Frederick, her husband, Clyde Leroy Chaffin, her son, Freddy Allen Chaffin, her granddaughter, Kimberly Springwater, her sister, Elva Martin, her brother, Jessie Frederick and her nephew, Melvin Martin.

She leaves behind four daughters, Alice Springwater and husband, John, Lisa Vann and husband, Dexter, Jerlean Fuson and husband, Gary, Jean Fuson and husband, Donald; one son, Zeddy Chaffin; 11 grandchildren, Tammy Swafford, Amy Stewart, David Fuson, Travis Buckner, Tommy Buckner, Jeanean Wolfe, LaDonna Baird, Vincent Fuson, Bradley Chaffin, Matthew Chaffin and Jason Chaffin, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Other survivors include four sisters, Minnie Chaffin, Judy Turnbull, Linda Fuson and Wanda Chastain and one brother, Bill Frederick.
