Mollie Jane Cummings, daughter of Richard and Mary Mocker Coming, was born on August 8, 1907 in Kansas, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 6, 2010 in Westville, Oklahoma at the age of 102 years, 4 months and 29 days.

She had many hobbies that she enjoyed: gardening, raising Rhode Island chickens, crocheting and seamstress work. Mollie loved caring for her grandchildren. They were a bright light in her life. She lived and studied the word of god by her daily readings of the Cherokee Testament.

Mollie will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Mollie was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Mary Coming, her husband: Dave Cummings, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Those left to cherish her life and memory are her children: Martha Mae Cummings of Oklahoma City, OK, Carl Cummings of Tahlequah, OK, Polly Spradlin of Moore, OK, George Cummings and wife Ella Marie of Jay, OK, Will Cummings of Owasso, OK, Mary Rose Bird of Westville, OK, Lou Jean Cummings of Westville, OK, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2010 in Roberts Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jim Wilkerson officiating. Interment followed at Sands Cemetery in Chewey, OK under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
