George Crittenden was born Sept. 5, 1925 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Tom and Darkey (Ummerteskee) Crittenden, and he died Monday, Aug.19, 1996 at Stilwell Memorial Hospital.

A life-long resident of Cherokee County, he attended Oakdale and Sequoyah Schools. He married the former Carrie Snell. He enjoyed Native American gatherings and being with his grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Carrie in 1981. Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Perez of Tahlequah, one son George Douglas Crittenden of California, one sister, Elizabeth Cole of Proctor, one brother, Joe Crittenden of Proctor.
