Nancy Duncan Soap, daughter of Bob Duncan and Polly Sawney was born April 4, 1930 in Adair County, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on February 22, 2013 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 18 days.
She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and served as treasurer for many years. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, fish, canning, gardening, pitching horseshoes, picking strawberries and hunting wild onions but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was well known for making Kanuchi.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband; Levi Soap, 3 sons; Baby Boy Soap, Henry J. Soap, Charles Soap, 2 daughters; Helen Jean Soap and Linda Soap, 1 brother; Robert Springwater.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her daughter; Kathy Soap Scrapper and husband Gerald, sons; Eugene Lee Soap, Bobby Gene Soap and wife Debbie all of Stilwell, OK, grandchildren; Debra Swain and husband Kevin, Charles Lee “Littleman” Soap and wife Laura Gail, Helen Jean Jackson and husband Jay, Susan Welch and husband Darren, Russell Scrapper and wife Felicia, Julie Scrapper, Amanda Jo Littledeer, great grandchildren; Lindsey Nicole Soap Whetsell and husband Richard, Hunter Eagle Soap, Braden Lee Soap, Charles Lee Soap Jr. “C.J.”, Randon Jarret Scrapper, Alaina Nicole McCullough, Allie Jay Jackson, Levi Turk Scrapper, Layson Lee Welch, Takalynn, Day Scrapper, Jeremiah Bean, Josiah Cochran, McKenzie Swain, Daughter in law; Marcia Ann Soap. Sisters; Ora Owl, Louella Duncan, Nellie Sam, Winnie Chuculate, Betty Lou Galcatcher and husband Joe, Brothers; Clarence Duncan and wife Daisy, Bobby Jo Duncan, 19 nieces, 13 nephews, several great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Leo Duncan and Larry Scrapper officiating.
Interment at Salem Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma.
