Samuel Nakedhead

Samuel Nakedhead, son of Emma Lena Starr and Rufus Nakedhead was born May 28, 1950 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life November 21, 2020 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years and 6 months.
 

Sam married the love of his life Wanda Lee Dirteater on May 29, 1973 at Stilwell Methodist Church by Rev. Scott Bread.  They were married 44 years.  Sam accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at Chuculate Baptist Church in Stilwell, Oklahoma.  He served faithfully as a child of God, a Deacon, a licensed Minister, and finally a Pastor at Jubilee Baptist Church until his passing.
 

Sam loved his kids and grandkids, family and especially his church family.  He was good at working with his hands and helped out wherever he could.  He always made sure everyone was taken care of.  He was a happy and devoted Pastor, Son, Husband, Dad, Doda, and Friend.


He was preceded in death by both parents, his loving wife, one sister, two brothers, and an infant niece and one nephew.
 

Sam is survived by his loving family which includes his 3 kids: Kelly, Renetta, and Joshua Nakedhead; four beautiful grandkids: Destry and Patrisha Nakedhead, Dustyn and Jacob Pettit; two special nieces: Jeanna and Elizabeth Nakedhead; one brother: Kendall Nakedhead of Stilwell, OK; four sisters: Kathryn and Joe Taylor of Stilwell, OK, Vicki and Joe Howard of Westville, OK, Eileen Tidwell of Stilwell, OK, and Mary Vaughn of Bentonville, AR; two aunts: Vera Higgins of Collinsville, OK and Lorene Sellers of Stilwell, OK. 

Many nieces, nephews, relatives, and a host of friends also survive him.
