Sarah Jane Cochran, the daughter of Charlie Cochran and Georgia Fay (Polecat) Cochran was born December 14, 1962 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 8, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 56 years, 7 months and 24 days.

Sarah was a devout follower of the Holiness faith, she enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to Cherokee gospel music. She loved talking with her eldest granddaughter Anayah about God. She was a member of Sheep Shed Holiness Church in the Bell Community. She loved her family and playing with her grandkids and being with friends and family. Sarah enjoyed cooking and sewing when she was able, she liked to sit outside and enjoy nature. Sarah touched many lives over the years and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her
 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marilyn Sawney.


She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Daniel Cochran and wife Sophie of Stilwell, Brandon Cochran and wife Kendall of the home, Roger Cochran and wife Chasity of Stilwell, siblings Julia Sevenstar and husband Melvin of Nicut, and Paul Cochran and wife Marilyn of Stilwell, grandchildren, Anayah Cochran, Naleah Cochran, Raylon Cochran, Keelan Cochran, Kyron Cochran, Charlie Cochran and Presley Cochran; and her brother-in-law and special friend Harry Sawney. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
 

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dewayne O’Fields officiating.

Interment followed at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
