Billy Ray Phillips, son of Walter and Maude (Norris) Phillips, was born on December 21, 1941 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Thursday, July 7, 2011 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 17 days.
Billy was a 1961 graduate of Stilwell High School. He served his country proudly as part of the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Billy married his soul mate and the love of his life, Beverly Slate, on July 3, 1978. They enjoyed over 33 years together and were blessed with a wonderful family. He was a truck driver for 13 years. Billy and Beverly owned and operated Kwik Kountry convenience store in Westville for 14 years. He was a member of the Christ Temple Church in West Siloam Springs, Ok. He touched many lives while on this earth and will be deeply missed.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Walter and Maude Phlilips, brother: Wayne Phillips and sister: Phyllis Hooper.
Surviving Billy is his wife: Beverly Phillips of the home in Siloam Springs, AR, children: Renee Pharr and husband Luke of Westville, OK, Mark Phillips of Siloam Springs, grandson: Weston Pharr of Westville, granddaughter: Sheena Slate of Siloam Springs, step grandson: Avery Vaughn, brothers: Joe Phillips of Tulsa, OK, Danny Phillips and wife Phyllis of Stilwell, OK, Tom Phillips of Coweta, OK. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Roberts Chapel, Westville, Ok with Bro. Luke Church officiating. Interment followed at Reese Cemetery, Stilwell, OK
