Ada Elizabeth Coombes the daughter of Pinder Virner and Florence Mae (Sanders) Duncan was born December 14, 1926 in Baron, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with her Lord on April 9, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 26 days.
 

Ada Beth loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great-great grandchildren. She loved to cook and she taught Culinary Arts for many years at Talking Leaves Job Corp in Tahlequah.  She was a graduate of John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR. She was a lifelong member of Baron Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and she loved crafts. Shopping was her favorite past-time, she enjoyed going through every isle of the store. She could spend hours shopping, and she enjoyed every minute of it. Her family meant the most to her and she loved family gatherings and cooking for her family. Ada Beth touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 55 years Shermon Coombes Sr.; and her sister Jeanne Triplett.
 

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Mary Elizabeth Caviness and husband Jerry of Stilwell, Karen Ketcher of Stilwell, Lena Worley of Westville, Glenda Clinton and husband Earl of Stilwell and Shermon (Jaybird) Coombes Jr and wife Henry Etta of Stilwell; her sisters Mary L Julian of Phoenix, AZ and Gwendolyn Freeman of Muskogee; her brother Virner Duncan and wife Cecilia of Pipe Creek, TX; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
 

Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019 at First Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Latta and Bro. Don Varble officiating.

Interment followed at Reese Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
