Regina Rich,
daughter of Orvin and Velma (Box) Rich, was born on July 25, 1947 in
Prairie Grove, Arkansas and departed this life on Wednesday, October 30,
2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma surrounded by her loved ones. She was 72
years young.
She was born in a red brick
hospital. Her parents brought her home to their 40 acres that were five
miles east of Stilwell.
Regina had six brothers and
one sister. All of us worked and traveled from state to state picking
vegetables. She attended Christie School with her siblings.
At age 16, she married James
W. Price. They had two sons, Maxie L. and Jason A. Price. Their family
lived across from James’ sister Ruby for a while. They also lived in
Tulsa and Kansas City. James finally bought a house near his folks , 20
acres with a small log cabin on it, east of Stilwell. In 1983, they
moved to Alaska to homestead. The boys moved back in 1986. Regina and
James moved back in 1989 to see Jason graduate. James passed in 2004.
She loved gardening and
flowers, enjoyed the outdoors. She took pleasure in all of her grandkids
and great-grandkids.
Regina was preceded in death
by her husband: James Price, granddaughter : Jessica Price, brothers:
Gerald Hensley, Loren Rich and Paul Rich.
She is survived by a loving,
devoted family. They include her kids: Maxie Price and wife Jessie,
Jason Price and wife Netta, grandkids: Crystal Price, Shasta Williams,
David Price, Taylor Price, Natalie Mordrell, great-grandkids: Brandon
Price, Sandy Ely, Rayleen Patton, Kevin Williams, Kellie Williams, Kyle
Williams, Dakota Williams, Blaze Price, siblings: Glenn Rich and wife
JoAnne, James Rich and wife Pat, Ronald Rich, Gina Quinn and husband
Ogie. Many other relatives and friends also survive Regina. She will be
deeply and dearly missed.
Graveside services were held
Friday, November 8, 2019 at Price Family Cemetery, Piney (Stilwell),
Oklahoma with Crystal Price and Terry Kimble officiating.
Interment
followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home,
Stilwell.
