Eva Lea Whitmire, daughter of Youngbird and Elsie (Crowe) Blackwood, was born February 8, 1930 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 27, 2017 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the age of 86 years, 11 months and 19 days.

She enjoyed the duties that followed her role of homemaker by being a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed making everyone smile. Some of Eva Lea�s hobbies included yard sales, visiting with people at quick stop and Walmart and attending gospel singings but most of all she enjoyed spending precious time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Jewel Whitmire, sister; Opal Couch, one infant brother, nephews; Gary Whitmire and Dale Butler and niece; Jo Rita Hicks.

She is survived by a very loving family that includes her daughters; Glenda Vaughn and companion Andy McLagan of Locust Grove, Rhonda Whitmire of Westville, grandchildren; Terry Heustis and wife Staci of Westville, Amy Eubanks of Stilwell, Alisha Gregory and husband Newt of Westville. Seven great-grandchildren; Lenzi, Felicia, Tyler, Jaeda, Alexa, Amrie, baby Hagen, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Roberts & Hart Chapel with Terry Heustis, Amy Eubanks and Pastor Mike Hayes officiating. Interment followed at Old Green Cemetery Westville
