Lawrence loved his family, friends and neighbors.  He loved his home and his dog.  He liked to eat Indian food and watch PBR.  He liked to take rides, to laugh, listen to stories and read.  He enjoyed life and he loved the Lord.  He was a member of Swimmer Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents: Chester Sr and Mae Ruth Hammer,his sister: Mildred Ward, brothers: David Hammer and Chester Hammer Jr., one nephew: Jack Samms.

Survived by his wife: Rose Scott-Hammer of the home, step-daughter: K. Star-Scott, mother in-laws, two sisters: Susie Underwood and husband Ted of Bristow, OK and Lou Ann Collins of Stilwell, OK, nieces: Crystal Hammer of Tulsa, OK, Misty Hensley of Westville, OK, Kimberly Ward of Rogers, OK, Amy Darnell and husband David of Bristow, OK, Mary Samms of Stilwell, OK and Diane Scraper and husband Rick of Stilwell, OK, nephews Erin Hammer and wife Lana of Collinsville, OK and Teddy Underwood and wife Channiel of Bristow, OK other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Service was held Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Old Green Cemetery, Westville, OK under the direction of Roberts/Reed/Culver Funeral Home
