Edith Dold
December 20, 1912 - December 26, 2005
Edith Dold, the daughter of Samuel Kerney and Rosa Bell (Crawford) Hardy, was born December 20, 1912 in Gentry, Arkansas and departed this life on December 26, 2005 in Siloam Springs, at the age of 93 years, and five days.
Edith was married to Otto Algon Dold on July 21, 1933 at the Adair County Courthouse in Stilwell. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Rosa Bell (Crawford) Hardy, her husband Otto Algon Dold, her two oldest children, Junie Rose Talley and Oscar Brent Dold.
She is survived by a loving family that includes nine children: Leona Parker of Stilwell, Joyce Gutlerriz and husband Derly of San Antonio, Texas, Sue Sanders and husband Warren of Westville, Caroline Johnson and husband Marcus of Evansville, Mary Smith and husband Bill of Westville, Bill Dold and wife Carol of Morrow, Arkansas, Thelma Loughridge and husband Johnny of Prairie Grove, John Dold and wife Jeannie of Fayetteville, and Audrey Gail Carte and husband Gordon of Prairie Grove; 27 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. A host of Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friend also survive her.
Graveside services were held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2005, at the Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Bill Holcomb and Bro. Larry Kindle officiating.
Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
