Roger Dale Williams, son of Charlie Clifton and Fannie Ethel (Hampton) Williams, was born on March 18, 1950 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and departed this life to be with his Lord on June 27, 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 60 years, 3 months and 9 days.
Roger served his country proudly during the Vietnam Conflict as a member of the United States Army. He received two Purple Hearts for his sacrifice in the defense of liberty.
Roger had deep roots in the Westville area. He was well known and liked by all who were blessed to know him. Roger was a dairy farmer for many years. He enjoyed going to the sale barn to catch up on news and see old friends. He liked visiting with his friends at the round table. Roger attended Whitmire Community Church. He was a very loving and proud father and grandfather. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was always very important to him. His presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Preceding Roger in death were his parents: Charlie and Fannie Williams; sister Wilma Dean Hastings; brothers Billy Ray Williams; R.C. Williams and Lonnie Williams.
Surviving Roger are his wife Sharron Williams of the home in Westville, OK; sons Roger Keith Williams and wife Jennifer of Salisbury, NC; Tim Williams and wife Lisa of Westville, OK; and Jerry Williams and wife Crissy of Westville, OK; and grandchildren Skylar, Cameron, Vanessa, Kenda and Jenna Williams; and siblings Jack Williams of Westville, OK; J.B. Williams and wife Helen of Colcord, OK; Forrest Williams and wife Frankie of Westville, OK; Patsy Choate and husband Darrell of Westville, OK; Kenneth Williams of Watts, OK; Betty Morris and husband Raymond of Westville, OK; Bobby Williams and wife Marian of Westville, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Roberts Funeral Chapel with Bro. Matthew Wilson and Bro. Larry Kindle officiating. Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
