Carol Joy Byrd, daughter of Alvis and Ahnawake (Hampton) Morris, was born July 13, 1958 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She departed this life on May 3, 2015 Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the age of 56 years.

Carol enjoyed many outdoor activities, including hiking. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whenever possible. She was a faithful Christian for 26 years and enjoyed talking to others about the bible. Carol lived a simple life and enjoyed time spent helping others. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Alvis and Ahnawake Morris, son: Jason Hammer, and brother: Rick Morris.

She leaves behind a loving family that includes her husband: Roger Byrd of the home in Siloam Springs, AR, children: Kendal Hembree and husband Josh of Stilwell, OK, Jarrett Hammer and wife Amy of Westville, OK, 5 grandchildren: Kenzie Hembree and Kolbey Hembree of Stilwell, Tyler Hammer, Tiara Hammer and Brock Hammer, all of Westville, brother: Mike Morris and wife Pam of Westville, sisters: Della Kay Morris and Jeannie Davis of Westville.

Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Roberts & Hart Chapel, Westville, OK with Bro. Glen Severn officiating. Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery, Westville, OK.
