Merle Don Gregory, son of Theodore and Janie (Fixin) Gregory, was born on May 2, 1947 in Tahlequah, OK and departed this life to be with our Lord on February 21, 2016 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 19 days.

Merle was a very loving husband, father and grandfather to his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his wife Ella Mae and his grandkids. He loved playing his guitar, fishing and attending gospel singings. He was a pastor for over 20 years serving at several area churches some to include Echota, Old Green, Marble City, First Indian and Glory Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; Claude and Ted Gregory.

Merle is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Ella Mae Gregory of the home in Stilwell, OK, 4 children; Bobby Ross, Vickie Grimmett and husband Ronnie Dugger, Vanessa Gregory and Larry Marshall all of Stilwell, OK, Billy Gregory and wife Michelle of Keys, OK, 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. One sister; Pauline Hopkins of Tahlequah, OK, several nieces, nephews, a special prayer warrior Tommy Scott other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Bill Woods and Bro. Jimmy Muskrat officiating. Interment followed at Mulberry Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma.
