Funeral services for Evie May Burgess were held Thursday December 20, 2018 at the Christian Worship Center with Bro. Marty Jones and Bro. Wiley Lovejoy officiating.

Interment followed in the Freewater Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.

Evie May Burgess, the daughter of John W. and Stella May (Deason) Burgess, was born April 29, 1944 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on December 15, 2018 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 16 days.

Evie enjoyed life and she loved watching the birds out her window. She enjoyed traveling and going fishing. She was a good cook and she loved visiting with her family and friends. Evie touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Troy Burgess and Cecil Burgess and her sister Ruby Burgess.

She is survived by her brother, Earl Burgess of Stilwell; her nephew Leroy Burgess of Windfield, Kan. and her niece, Diane Holman of Ponca City. A host of great-nieces and nephews, several friends and other relatives also survive her.
