Jim Shell, son of Ross and Virginia (Locust) Shell, was born on November 8, 1948 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed from this life on Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 26 days.

Jim lived in Fayetteville, Arkansas for many years and worked at the Library Club. He later became a truck driver and drove for several years.

He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, shooting pool and going to listen to his musician friends play music. Jim was a guy that loved socializing with his friends. He considered his friends as family. Jim loved his family and family get togethers. He always looked forward to those special meals. He was an avid sports fan of both college and professional sports, but nothing was quite as special as going to watch his great nephew, Elan, play T-Ball and was looking forward to watching him play football.

Jim brought laughter to whomever he was around, no matter where he was. He touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ross and Virginia Shell, sisters: Betty Ann White, Jackie Pinkerton and Sandy Groom.

Jim is survived by his sons: Jim Kyle Shell of Bradenton Beach, FL, Jeffrey Michael Paz and wife Jean of Philadelphia, PA, sisters: Kathy Littledave and husband Gary of Stilwell, OK, Connie Shell of Stilwell, brother: Jerry Shell of Stilwell, granddaughter: Kaya Shell, a very special aunt: Charlotte Blakemore.

He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Chuck Glass and Bro. Todd Dowty officiating. Interment followed at Fourkiller Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
