Samuel Kirk - Stilwell Democrat Journal - May 29, 1969
Services for Sam Kirk, 88, were conducted from the Hart Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 22 with Rev. Bud Lacie officiating. Kirk, a native of Westville, was born in 1881. He was the son of Laura Kelly Kirk and William Kirk. He died Monday, May 19 in the Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He had been in the Westville Nursing Home for the past several weeks, but had been confined to his home before being moved there. He had been a resident of Adair County for many years.
Survivors include his wife Pearl, of the home; a son Odean, Westville, a step-son Chester Erickson, Watts; a step-daughter, Beatrice Reese, Westville; one brother, Floyd Kirk, Drumright; two sisters, Mrs. Rosie Wise, Drumright, and Beckie Craig, Anderson, California; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Burial was in the Foreman Cemetery
