L.D. BUTLER, 42 year old farmer of the Christie community, died Tuesday night, June 8, in a Prairie Grove hospital following an appendicitis operation. He had been ill for only a few days.
He was born in Arkansas on May 8, 1895 and has lived in the Christie community for several years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. BUTLER; four sons, L.D. Jr., Dewey, Carroll and Kenneth; two daughters, Oleta, and Mrs. Opal MEADOWS, who lives in Marysville, California.
Funeral services were held in the Foreman cemetery west of town last Thursday.
