John Lewis Fourkiller, son of Janie Fourkiller, was born February 2, 1953 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life August 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by loved ones in Checotah, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 18 days.

He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather to his family. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years providing for his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, OU football, Thunder Basketball but most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family.


John was preceded in death by his mother; Janie Fourkiller, brother; Clifford Fourkiller and sister Bobbie Fourkiller.
 

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Anita Fourkiller of the home, daughters; Danya Perkins and husband Wayne of Yukon, Amanda Fourkiller of Sallisaw, Cheryl Padula of Whitehall, Wisc., grandchildren; Timberly, Talen and Trey Perkins, Brandon and Brody Padula, brother; David Foukiller of Stilwell, sister; Louanna Christie of Tahlequah, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
 

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 25, 2016 Fairfield Baptist Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Mike Echols, Ron Etheridge and Brother Chuck Glass officiating.

Interment followed at Fairfield Cemetery, Stilwell, under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
