Grover Dean Fourkiller son of Felix and Flora (Hogner) Fourkiller was born December 2, 1936 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 26, 2010 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years 3 months and 24 days.

Grover was a member of the Fourkiller Baptist Church for many years where he also served as Deacon, he liked to go to gospel singings and was a member of the group "Gospel Travelers", after retirement his hobbies included: Fishing, spending time with his grandkids, family and friends, he loved to laugh, joke around and he always had a positive spirit.

He served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the United States Army.

Grover will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Felix and Flora Fourkiller, his wife: Polly Fourkiller, 1 daughter: Sherry Fourkiller, 4 brothers: Robert "Bob" Fourkiller, Cicero "Sim" Fourkiller, William "Billy Joe" Fourkiller and Samuel "Dooch" Fourkiller, 2 infant brothers and 1 half brother: Albert Wolfe.

He is survived by a very loving family that includes 2 daughters: Joyce Hawk and husband Kenneth of Stilwell, Ok, and Judith Wilson of Stilwell, Ok, 1 son: Michael Byrd and wife Alvina of Ponca City, Ok, 12 grandchildren: Coby Fourkiller, Kaycee Fourkiller, Karra Fourkiller, Raymond Sanders Jr., Dustin Grigsby, Jarrod Grigsby, and Jada Grigsby all of Stilwell, Ok, Waylan Byrd, Kristie Byrd, Krissy Byrd, Michael Byrd, and Ethan Byrd all of Ponca City, Ok, 2 great-grandsons: Hawk Walker of Oklahoma City, Ok, and Blake Sanders of Stilwell, Ok, 2 brothers: Raymond "Joker" Fourkiller and wife Pat of Stilwell, Ok, Thomas "Gomer" Fourkiller and Wife Brenda of Stilwell, Ok, 3 sisters: Eva Comando of Stilwell, Ok, Donna Fourkiller of Eufaula, Ok, and Brenda Dake of Tulsa, Ok, 4 special friends: Watie Vann II, Nate Dooley, Jake Mink and Kelsey McCully. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2010 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Robert Fourkiller and Bro. Billy George Pettit officiating.

Interment followed at Fairfield Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
