ŠThe Stilwell Democrat Journal

Submitted by Jan Grooms

Nancy Soap, the daughter of Jess and Ollie (England) Soap, was born March 15, 1936 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years and 26 days.

Nancy was a homemaker who prided herself on being a good housekeeper. She had a certain way of doing things and was known to redo the work of others if it didn’t meet her standards. She loved doing yardwork, crocheting and listening to the oldies on the radio. Nancy was an avid OU fan who faithfully watched all the games in every sport of her favorite team. She was a member of Old Green Baptist Church.

Family was important to Nancy and she spent her leisure time on the front porch visiting with neighbors, family and anyone who happened to stop by to see her. She had a grateful heart and was truly appreciative of anyone who offered her help.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Ollie Soap, her son Bobby Soap and a brother, J.B. Soap.

Nancy leaves behind a loving family which includes, her children David Soap of the home, Darlene Soap and companion Russell Glass of Stilwell; sisters Jennie Soap of Stilwell, Jessie Thomas of Sallisaw and Ollie Jean Brown of  Stilwell; grandchildren, Daniel Soap and Janessa Owl of Stilwell, Nathan, Nikara, Jaron and Bridgett Soap of Oaks, OK; great grandchildren, Makilynn and Kacely Pritchett of Stilwell, Rhyiah, Tinzlii and Ashlynn Soap, Codey and Renaya Soap all of Oaks, OK and a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Donnie Sanders officiating.

Interment followed at England Hollow Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home.
