Johnnie Ruth Wright, daughter of William Jennings Riggs and Vera Frances (Rogers) Riggs, was born on November 28, 1936 in Holly Springs, Arkansas and departed this life on Monday, April 9, 2018 in Bentonville, Arkansas at 81 years of age.

Johnnie was a fun and interesting person. She was a good storyteller. Johnnie was an avid sports fan, especially football. She loved the Westville Yellow Jackets and was a diehard Green Bay Packers and Arkansas Razorbacks fan. Johnnie enjoyed bowling and she liked to cook. Johnnie loved watching her kids and grandkids play sports. While in high school, she played basketball. Johnnie was an All State Guard in 1955 when they won the State Championship in Class 1A. She graduated high school in Springhill, Louisiana. She married Darrell Wright and they were blessed with a large and loving family. She worked as an insurance agent, at a transportation company to help support her family. Johnnie was a member of Impact Church in Westville, Ok and attended for as long as she was able.

She was preceded in death by her parents: W J and Vera Riggs, her husband: Darrell Wright and grandson: Jeremy Lee Wright.

Johnnie is survived by her children: Michael Wright of Keys, OK, Daryl Anthony Wright of Phoenix, AZ, Bryan Wright and wife Amanda of Baron, OK, Robert Wright of Stilwell, OK, John Wright of Ft. Smith, AR, grandchildren: Jennifer White and husband Greg, Renee Wright, Jason Wright and wife Eniko, Michelle Wright, Matthew Wright and wife Ashley, Noah Wright and wife Shirley, Houston Singleterry, Olivia Selman and husband Lee, Caleb Stevens, Gracie Wright, Josiah Wright, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, sister: Nelda Sue Johnson and husband Dan of Bossier City, LA, 9 nieces and nephews, other relatives and a multitude of friends.

Funeral services were held, Thursday April 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Impact Church with Rev. Navil Vaughan officiating. Interment followed in the Downing Cemetery under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home
