Sadie Blackwood
June 2, 1923-March 14, 2008

Sadie Blackwood daughter of James Archie and Ethel (Gibbons) Cagle was born June 2, 1923 in Baron, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 14, 2008 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years 9 months and 12 days.

Sadie worked for 27 years as Administrator of the Westville Nursing Home. She was a member of the Old Baptist Mission Church until moving to Broken Arrrow where she was very active at the New Beginnings Family Church. Sadie loved being a greeter at the church. Sadie loved to cook for her family and was very good at it.

She is survived by a very loving family that includes her daughter; Carol Dyer and husband Rick of Broken Arrow, OK, 1 son; Mike Blackwood and wife Brenda of Baron, OK, grandchildren; Michelle McIntosh, Sammy Slavens, Jason, Jerod and Jack Waters, Amanda French, great grandchildren; Brandon and Brittany Slavens, Justin and Brooke Rothhammer, Madison and Morgan Waters, Laney Waters and Chance French, 1 brother; John Cagle of Pryor, OK, 2 sisters; Mildred Asbil of Claremore, OK, Pat Sanders of Purcell, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held, Monday, March 17, 2008 in the Roberts Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bob Adcox and Bro. Marty Jones officiating.
Interment followed in the Downing Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
