Verlene Bradford Knepp, daughter of Vernon and Nona (Sloan) Bradford, was born on July 18, 1931 in Baron, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2011 in Baron, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 2 days.
Verlene married Charles Knepp on June 27, 1954 and the Lord blessed them with 56 years of marriage and a loving family. She received her teaching degree and became a teacher. She enjoyed her role as an educator that allowed her to help children learn and grow. Verlene was a 7th Day Adventist and an active member of the church in Springtown, AR. Her family was deeply important to her. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Verlene never met a stranger and liked to share experiences and stories. Our lives are richer for having known her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Vernon R. and Nona (Sloan) Bradford, son: Kim Lewis Knepp and brother: David Bradford.
Those remaining to keep her memory alive are her husband: Charles Knepp, of the home in Baron, OK, children: Dan Robert Knepp and wife Lolita of Elverta, CA, Ned Charles Knepp and wife Suzanne of Garden Grove, CA, Rebecca Ann Knepp and Amy Kay Knepp of Baron, OK, grandchildren: Aaron Knepp and Laura Knepp of Garden Grove, CA, Tatiana Knepp and Kayla Knepp of Elverta, CA, sisters: Yvonne Blckerby and husband Russell of Siloam Springs, AR, Imodene Olinger and husband Richard of Baron, OK, brother: Ben Bradford and wife Merleen of Catoosa, OK. Verlene is also survived by many other relatives and a multitude of friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Roberts Chapel, Westville, OK, with Pastor Glenn Hill officiating.
Interment followed at Downing Cemetery, Baron, OK under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
