Kimberly Jo Young was born August 11, 1990, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Bill Joe Young and Margaret (Duncan) Vaughn. She went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2009, in Eads, Colorado at the tender age of 18 years, 10 months and 24 days.
Kim was a 2009 graduate of Stilwell High School and attended New Life Church. She enjoyed texting, computers, going to church, playing the guitar, spending time with her nieces and nephews and riding around town with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Adeline Doublehead and Joe Doublehead, niece, Kristian Duncan, nephew, Cameron Joe Bunch, uncle, Kenny “Cooksey” Catcher and sister-in-law, Lori Duncan. Kim leaves to cherish her memory a loving family which includes her father, Bill Young, of Stilwell; her mother, Margaret Vaughn, of Stilwell; paternal grandmother, Lydia Mae Young, of Stilwell; maternal grandparents, Ann and Thomas Tarin, of Stilwell; one brother, Clayton Duncan, of Washington; three sisters, Carlene Fourkiller and husband, Bryan, of Stilwell, Amanda Bunch and husband, Chris, of Stilwell and Lydia Rodriguez, of Washington. Other survivors include five nieces, Gabrielle and Sara Duncan, Keagen Young Howard, River and Regan Havard; two nephews, David Rodriguez Jr. and Quinton Bunch.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at New Life Church with Bro. Carney Duncan, Bro. Max Ford and Bro. Wayne Bunch officiating. Interment will follow at Doublehead Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
