Sandra Jean Caughman – Girdner, daughter of Sanford Aubrey Caughman and Sybil Ivelle (Beanstick) Caughman, was born on July 8, 1938 in Claremore, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Sunday, March 13, 2011 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 5 days.
Sandra lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment. Her warmth and love were a blessing to her family and friends. She worked as a real estate broker before venturing into the partnership of an antique business, then moving on to be a home-care provider and caring for her mother for several years before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her father: Sanford Aubrey Caughman, son: Jack Ralph Girdner, sister: Linda Hummingbird and brother: Jim Caughman.
Keeping her memory, are her daughters: Tammy Bigfeather and husband Robert of Stilwell, OK, Patti McNerney and husband Michael of Niceville, FL, mother: Sibyl (Beanstick) Caughman of Tahlequah, OK, 5 grandchildren: Jack Ralph Girdner, Jr. and wife Peggy of Sperry, OK, Robert Brian Bigfeather and wife Andrea of Tahlequah, OK, Wesley James Bigfeather of Tulsa, OK, Ian Michael McNerney and Kaitlin Makenna McNerney of Niceville, FL, great grandchildren: Blake Girdner and Trenton King of Sperry, OK, Bryson Bigfeather and Tannor Bigfeather of Tahlequah, OK. sisters: Gwynne Thomas of Oklahoma City, Kay Thurston of Vaughn, AR, brother: Jerry Caughman of Denver, CO. Sandra is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were hald at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bill Rountree officiating. Interment followed at Clear Springs Cemetery.
