Jess Raymond Chuculate
November 25, 1944-July 15, 2008
Jess Raymond Chuculate, son of Henry and Lucinda (Christie) Chuculate, was born November 25, 1944 in Cherokee County, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 15, 2008 in Stilwell, OK., at the age of 63 years, 7 months and 20 days.
Jess loved playing the guitar, singing gospel music, spending time with his family and grandkids and enjoying going to area gospel singings. He was a member of the Sanders Flat Baptist Church. He worked at Stilwell Foods and Rowans IGA for Many years.
Jess was preceded in death by his parents, 2 granddaughters; Crystal Chuculate and Amber Kees, 1 step daughter; Katie Owl, 3 brothers; Mose, Taylor and William Chuculate, and 1 sister; Wanda Chuculate.
His is survived by a very loving family that includes his loving wife of over 40 years; Winnie Chuculate of the home in Stilwell, OK., 2 daughters; Karen Berry and Jimmie Chuculate both of Stilwell, OK., 3 sons; Jess James Chuculate of the home, Clint Chuculate of Tahlequah, OK., and Joby Chuculate of Stilwell, OK., grandchildren; Chyla Chuculate, Richard Berry Jr., Alicia Owl, Diane Owl, Jewels Chuculate all of Stilwell, OK., Jason Kees of Mesa, AZ., 2 very special granddaughters, Katie and Destiny Chuculate, 4 great grandchildren; Hayden and Cassidy Chuculate, Avery and Camden Owl, 2 sisters; Louetta Fields of Muskogee, OK., Allene Christie and husband Buck of Hulbert, OK., several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held, Friday, July 18, 2008 at 1:00 pm with Bro. Wayne Bunch, Bro. John Flute and Bro. Steve Campbell officiating.
Interment followed in the Chuculate Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
