Paul Brown, son of Sylvester Scott and Zella Mae (Dooley) Brown, was born July 30, 1947 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life surrounded by loved ones in Muskogee, Oklahoma on August 11, 2019 at the age of 72 years and 12 days.

Paul worked as a mechanic, as a truck driver and farming to provide for his family. He loved playing his guitar, riding horses, hunting and fishing.


He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons; Ronald Taylor, Harold Brown and Paul Brown Jr., granddaughters; Crystal Chuculate and Kacee Brown, brothers; Herschel, J.L., Fred and Phillip Brown and sisters; Viola Ross, Pearl Isham, Lectie Denny and Ruby Brown.


Paul is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Carol Brown of the home, children; Dexter Taylor and wife Jennie of Christie, Curtis Taylor and wife Lynn of Westville, Robert Brown and wife Anna, Blending Taylor and wife Lisa all of Stilwell, Brittany Dustman and husband Timothy of Nicut, Larry Grumbles and wife Lori of Tulsa, and Mark Leach of Stilwell. Paul had 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, sisters; Reba Wilson of Stilwell, Naomi Watson of Oklahoma City and Vestie Mays of Stilwell, a very special friend; Ricky Kirk of Stilwell, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who also survive him.
 

Funeral services were held, Friday, August 16, 2019 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Terry Mays officiating.

Interment was in the Chuculate Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
