Melvin Eugene Faddis
January 9, 1945 - July 6, 2007
Melvin Eugene Faddis, age 62, of Little Rock passed away Friday, July 6, 2007.
He was born January 9, 1945 in the Piney Community, Oklahoma, a son of the late Leslie Faddis and Grace Nichols Faddis.
Melvin was the founder, owner and operator of Orig-Equip Vinyl Top Shop. Following the closing of his business, Melvin worked until his retirement at Sunbeam Bread Company
He served in the Oklahoma National Guard. Melvin coached baseball at the Rosedale Optimist Club and the Geyer Springs community for many years.
Melvin was a loving husband, father and gradfather. He will be missed daily by his family and everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Paula O'Neal Faddis; two sons, Paul Faddis and James Faddis and his wife, Kim; his daughter, Missy Faddis Johnston and her husband, Ken; six granddaughters, Natosha, April, Courtney, Makenzie, Autumn and Amber; two brothers, Wayne Faddis and his wife, Reatha, Dale Faddis and his wife Carolyn; three sisters, Velma Deason, Helen Chadwell and husband, Alfred, Bonnie Childs and her husband, John.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2007 at the Roller-Drummond Funeral Home in Little Rock. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 12, 2007 in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel in Stilwell, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends in Oklahoma from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at the Hart Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Chalk Bluff Cemetery at Stilwell, Oklahoma.
