Albert Lawrence Carson, son of Rufus and Lucy (Russell) Carson, was born on January 15, 1941 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 24 days.
As a lifetime resident of the Stilwell area, he was liked and well known. Ab was an important part of the Chalk Bluff community. He was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend. He attended Oak Grove Full Gospel Church with his family. Ab was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Rufus and Lucy Carson, brothers: David and Joe Carson.
Remaining behind to keep his memory is his wife: Melissa Carson of the home, son: Erick Carson, very special children: Nathan Rider and wife Jennifer, all of Stilwell, Ron Jacks of Nevada, Stephanie Swafford and husband Keith of Vian, OK, six grandchildren : Andrew Lacie, Caleb and Ashley Swafford, Trevor and Alex Rider of Stilwell, brother: Calvin Carson and wife Betty of Stilwell, nieces: Jada Carson, Lisa Green and nephews: Jeffrey Carson, Danny Carson, Dale Carson and wife Cindy, all of Stilwell, sisters-in-law: Lola Lovell, Harriett Bigpond, Marietta Duncan, Wynema Cragg. Many other relatives and friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with James Essary and Audie Vaughan officiating. Interment followed at Chalk Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
