Arthur Reynold Gordon Sr.
November 18, 1946-November 4, 2008
Arthur Reynold Gordon Sr., the son of Arthur Doyle Gordon and Eloise (Causey) Gordon, was born November 18, 1946, in Verdun, Louisiana.
He departed this life November 4, 2008, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 15 days.
Arthur had an outgoing personality and enjoyed visiting with family and friends, especially at Wal-Mart. He loved hunting, fishing, listening to bluegrass music and watching old westerns. He attended Day Star Ministries.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, four brothers, Gerald, Jerry Doyle, Ronnie and Kenny Gordon, one sister, Darlene Gordon, one daughter, Robin Gordon and one special brother-in-law, J.B. Averett.
He leaves behind two sons, Patrick Gordon, of Louisiana and Arthur Gordon Jr., of Missouri; two daughters, Gloria Gordon, of Texas and Susan Landry, of Louisiana; one brother, Whit Gordon, of Louisiana; four sisters, Deanie Averett, Shirley Westmoreland and Linda Jefferson, all of Louisiana and Katherine Dumbeck, of Texas and several grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2008, at Bunch Cemetery with Paul Etter officiating.
Burial was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
