Funeral services for Jeffrey Jones Gonzales are 2:00 PM, Wednesday July 15, 2015, at Green Country Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend John Flute. Interment will follow under the care of Green Country Funeral Home in the Bunch Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com

Jeffrey “Sonny” Jones Gonzales was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on February 18, 1967, to Cale Gonzales and Audra Louise (Pettit) Gonzales. He went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2015, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 48.

Sonny was a loving husband, father and Duda. Sonny married his best friend and soulmate of 29 years on February 5, 2015. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working with his hands, watching TV, and being outdoors. Jeff spent at least 18 years in building and perfecting polebarns. He spent the past four summers as a pyrotechnician. He worked for Saunders Landscaping up until his illness in March of 2015. He was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church in Hulbert.

Sonny is preceded in death by his parents, Cale and Audra Gonzales; paternal grandparents, John and Eliza Livers; maternal grandparents, Bill and Cindie Lou Pettit; a sister, Saundra Pettit; infant granddaughter Cale Briann Gonzales- Murphy; infant grandson, Gavin Gonzales; uncles, Andy, Dennis, and John Jr. Gonzales, and three aunts, Sadie and Dorothy Hummingbird and Louella Proctor.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of the home; his children, Sheena Gonzales of the home, Venessa Gonzales- Grimmett and husband Roy Lee of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Jeffrey Gonzales and fiancé Peyton Meech of Hulbert, Jonathan Gonzales and fiancé Angela Daugherty of Bunch, Oklahoma, and Jamie Anderson of Missouri; nine grandchildren, Aaron, Anawake, Chloe, Ayahna, Aselynn, Mylee, Nowa, Christopher, and Scarlette; Mother -In - Law Bobbie Wilson; three sisters, Sherry Reed of Orange County, California, Valarie Taylor and husband Curtis of Westville, and Caleen Bolin and husband Everett of Dry Creek; uncles, Bill Pettit Jr and wife Beth of Hulbert and Leo Gonzales of Stilwell; aunts, Mae Jean Littledeer, and Louise Mounce both of Cherry Tree, and many extended family members and dear friends.
