Charley Francis Russell, 88-year-old Westville resident, died Tuesday, November 6, at W. W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah.
Russell, born July 27, 1896 in Ballard, Indian Territory, was a retired farmer and rancher. He was a former secretary of the Adair County Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War I.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Minnie Woods Russell of the home; two sons, Charles C. Russell, Washington, D. C. and Gene E. Russell, Pittsburg, Kansas; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and three sisters, Irene Russell Palone and Kate Russell Morris, both of Pryor, and Frankie Russell Maples, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
Services were held Thursday of last week at the Hart Funeral Chapel in Westville with the Rev. Ernest Ashcraft officiating. Interment was in the Baptist Mission Cemetery.
