Wand Lee Long was born March 18, 1929 in Westville, Oklahoma to Orval Lee London and Mattie (Rhine) London.
She passed from this life July 30, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 78.
On December 31, 1944, Wanda was married to Junior Loyd Kindle in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Upon his passing on March 12, 1970, she then married Gene Long on June 6, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Wanda was a homemaker and served her family well as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband, Junior Kindle; one son Donald Eugene Kindle; a granddaughter, Brionna Danielle Kindle; a great granddaughter, Emily Lynn Kindle, and one great grand-son, Jordan Don Proctor.
She leaves behind her husband, Gene Long, of the home in Westville; three sons and their wives, Larry and Fern Kindle, Kenneth and Mary Kindle, Mike and Janelle Kindle, all of Westville; one daughter and her husband, Tammy and Don Wilcoxen of Kansas, OK; her stepfather, Homer Guthrie, of Westville; a sister and brother-in-law, Elva and Bill Jackson, of Westville; one brother William Guthrie, of Broken Arrow, OK and one stepdaughter, Terry Hanson, of Casa Grande, AZ.
Other survivors include 16 grandchildren; Shandra, Brad, Teresa, Teila, Rhonda, Kyndi, Amanda, Clint, Justin, Cassy, Maegan, Jason, Alisha, Amber, Adam and Clint, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, August 3, 2007 at Hart Memorial Chapel in Westville with Bro. Larry Kindle and Dr. Jim Walters officiating.
Intement followed at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
