March 30, 1934 - March 26, 2003
WATTS, Okla. - Danny E. Lawmaster, 68-year-old resident of Watts, Okla. died March 26, 2003 at his residence. Born March 30, 1934 in Bixby, Okla., he was the son of W.M. Lawmaster and Myrtle Adair Guthrie Lawmaster.
He retired from Simmons Poultry Division where he worked in the live haul department. He was a peacetime veteran of the Air Force and was the Past Commander of the American Legion Post 104. Danny enjoyed fishing, Oklahoma University sports, being outdoors and was of the Baptist faith.
He married Margaret Sue Stanley on Oct. 12, 1963 in Stilwell, Okla.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Melvin Lawmaster, Leroy Lawmaster, J.D. Lawmaster, and Luke Taft.
He is survived by his wife, Sue of the home; three sons, Brian Cannon of Siloam Springs, Ark., Danny Lawmaster and David Lawmaster, both of Watts, two daughters, Gala Lawmaster of Watts and Tamela Lawmaster of Tahlequah, Okla.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 29, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with burial following at Baptist Mission Cemetery, Adair County, Okla. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Wasson Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.

Margaret Sue Lawmaster, 62, of Watts, Oklahoma died Tuesday June 30, 2009 at her home. She was born December 15, 1946 at Watts, Oklahoma to Elmer “Skinner” Stanley and Marie Stephens Stanley. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan Lawmaster.
Margaret was a lifelong resident of Watts. She worked for Gates Rubber Company. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Watts. Margaret was a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons; Danny Lawmaster and David Lawmaster and his wife Tammy all of Watts, Brian Cannon of Neosho, Missouri; two daughters, Gala Hammer and her husband Terry of Watts, Tammy Lawmaster of Tahlequah; seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie Stanley of Watts and Rick Stanley of Oologah, Oklahoma; two sisters, Margie Shook of Westville, Oklahoma, and Judy Brewer of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be Friday July 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Wasson Memorial Chapel of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Pastor John Key officiating. Visitation will be Thursday July 2, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Wasson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Baptist Mission Cemetery near Watts, Oklahoma.
