Services for Joseph Hester Langley, 84, of Route 1 Westville, were conducted from the Hart Memorial Chapel Sunday afternoon, March 31, with the Rev. Orval Ford, pastor of the Baptist Mission Church officiating.
Langley, a native of Georgia, was born in October, 1883 at Ellijay. He was the son of Lock Langley and Jane Taylor. He was married to Miss Stella Woods some 61 years ago and had lived at the same place since their marriage. They celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in September 1966. He was a retired farmer and a long-time member of the Baptist Mission Church.
He died Friday, March 29, 1968 in the Stilwell Hospital where he was taken following a one-car accident about 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, when both he and his wife were hospitalized. He had been in poor health all winter.
Survivors include his wife Stella, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. David Hiebert, Sr., Miami; one grandson, David Hiebert Jr., Miami; a sister, Mrs. Alice Simpson, Westville; and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in Baptist Mission Cemetery.

Westville News - Mrs. Langley Dies at 91
Mrs. Stella Woods Langley, 91-year-old Westville resident, died Sunday in Memorial Hospital, Stilwell following a long illness. Mrs. Langley, born December 4, 1889 in Indian Territory, married Joe Langley in 1906. She was a member of the Baptist Mission Church of Westville.
Survivors include one adopted daughter, Onetia Heibert, Miami; three sisters, Nellie Woods Tennant, Minnie Woods Russell and Elsie Woods Reed; three brothers, Tom Woods and Oliver Woods, both of Westville and Forrest Woods of Stilwell; one grandson and two great grandsons.
Services were held Tuesday in the Hart Memorial Chapel, Westville with Bro. Orval Ford , Stilwell officiating. Interment was in the Baptist Mission Cemetery.
