Earl C. Waldroop
August 15, 1918-March 21, 2009

Earl C. Waldroop, son of Homer Waldroop and Mary (Langley) Waldroop was born August 15, 1918 at Ketchum, OK, and departed this life on March 21, 2009 at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Silam Springs, OK, at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 6 days.
He married Geraldine (Jerry) Donathan on April 21, 1941 and to this union three children were born.
Earl was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church in Springdale, AR.
During his lifetime he enjoyed having his family and friends visit him home, fishing, hunting, and was an avid gardner, he was also a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals baseball team fan. In his later years he loved going to Watts Senior Citizens and playing cards (Pitch) with all of his friends.
Earl owned and operated the Waldroop General store, in the town of Watts, OK, along with his wife Jerry, from 1943 until his retirement in 1980.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Geraldine, son; Frank Waldroop, 2 brothers; Oliver and Bill H. Waldroop.
He is survived by his daugher; Earlene Bradford and husband Jim of Grove, OK, son Bill Waldroop and daughter in law, Joyce Trumbla of Watts, OK, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, also one special nephew; Jerry H. Waldroop and his wife Helen of Lithea, FL., along with great nieces, nephews, several cousins and many friends also survive him.
Services were held on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in the Roberts Funeral Chapel at Westville, OK., with Reverend Jim Beavers officiating.

Burial will follow at the Bell Cemetery, Watts, OK.
