Joan {Bouquot} Parks

Woodward, Okla. — Joan Bouquot Parks was born March 9, 1931 at the farm north of Curtis, OK to Harold Bouquot and Eunice Spencer Bouquot. She passed away June 5, 2012 in Yukon, OK.

Joan was raised in Woodward, OK and married Claude (CA) Parks in April of 1947. During their marriage, CA was in the Marine Corps. During their marriage, they were stationed at several different stations across the United States. After retiring from the Marine Corps, they moved back to Oklahoma in 1972. Joan retired from CMI after 17 years. She liked to make flower arrangements and gardening, go bargain hunting and reading books.

Joan was preceded in death by husband, CA Parks; daughter, Cynthia; son, Dennis; and her parents, Harold and Eunice Bouquot. She leaves behind her children, Mitchell and wife Yolanda Parks, Craig and wife Deb Parks of Southern California, Rhee and husband Stephen Dietrich, Steve Parks, Ty and husband Robert Graham, and Tim Parks all of Yukon, OK; sister, Dora Nell Humphrey of Woodward, OK; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 in the Yanda & Son Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Mooreland Cemetery in Mooreland, OK.
