Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the First Christian Church of Vici. Burial will follow at Persimmon Cemetery of Mutual. Please check the Website calendar for visitation times.

Anna Pearl (Buck) Saxton, daughter of John Albert and Hettie M. (Henderson) Buck, was born near Vici, OK on October 17, 1916. She passed from this life November 18, 2014 in the Woodward Hospital, Woodward, OK.

Anna Pearl spent her childhood years in the Pioneer Community attended grade school at the Pioneer Country School. She transferred to Vici Public School in Junior High School and graduated from Vici High School with the Class of 1934.

On March 4, 1935, Anna Pearl was united in marriage to Vernon Clifford Saxton in Woodward, OK. They made their home in the Vici community and remained in and near Vici through out the years of their married life. Three children were born to this union, Myra Jean, Verna Beth and Foster Dale.

The couple worked hard on the farm, providing for their family. Anna Pearl also spent many hours making quilts, sewing her children clothes, and making a pleasant loving home for her family. Mrs. Saxton was baptized as a young adult and became a member of the First Christian Church in Vici. She was very involved with the Missionary House giving many, many hours of love of labor on behalf of those in need. She was a Sunday School Teacher and always was willing to help with funeral meals and any other activities the LMS was involved with. She was devoted to her Church, family and community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John and Hettie Buck, son-in-law Jim A. Stevens, sister Ruby Cain and brothers Emmett Buck and Jr. (John) Buck. She is survived by daughters, Myra Stevens of Vici, OK and Beth Hunter and husband Merritt of Woodward, OK; son Foster Saxton and wife Marilu of Jones, OK; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
