Funeral: 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 29th, 2016 - Billings Funeral Home Chapel

Interment: Tuesday, November 29th, 2016 - Mooreland Cemetery

Alberta Jo (Ellison) Stine, age 87, passed away quietly at her home in Mooreland on Friday, November 25, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel in Woodward with the Reverend David Houchin officiating. Burial will follow in the Mooreland Cemetery.

Alberta was born March 3, 1929 to Thomas E. and Georgette (Florentine) Ellison in Quinlan, Oklahoma. The family moved to Mooreland where she graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to Laverle “Bud” Stine on June 25, 1949 in Woodward, Oklahoma. To this union six children were born: Barbara West and husband Neil, Allen Stine and wife Sandra, Marilyn van Dyk, Rodney Stine and wife Joni, Roger Stine and wife Stephanie, and Karin Devon; one sister Norma Edson; one brother Roger Ellison; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, her parents, two brothers, Jack and Johnny Ellison, two sisters Emilienne Stine and Janet Nutter, one son-in-law, William van Dyk and one grandson Jeremy West.

Her greatest loves were family, cooking and nurturing her extensive family.
