Judy Ellen (Bell) Pickle was born the second daughter and third of four children to Raymond and Gladyce (Williams) Bell in Laverne, Oklahoma on September 13, 1939. Jug, as she was known by most, was a tomboy at heart who received from both parents a love of athletics. She was a state ranked shot-putter at Woodward High School, as well as a very competitive softball and basketball player–a gift she passed on to her four granddaughters and three grandsons. She was a survivor of the 1947 Woodward tornado and she graduated with the class of 1957 from Woodward High School.

As a mother to three children, she poured her love into them. Her husband Eddie Pickle (whom she called Pug), was her companion for the better part of her life and was her heart and soul. She will be missed. She is survived by daughter Paula Trahan and son-in-law Kenneth; son Jim Postel and daughter-in-law, Valerie; son Tommy Pickle; grandchildren, Shelby Trahan Spire and husband Mark, Jennifer Postel Giambi and husband Carlos, Katie Ann Trahan Prescott and husband William, Corbett Postel, Adam Postel, Josh Pickle, Sam Postel; great-grandchildren, Ellie Spire and Harper Spire; sister, Kay Bell; one brother, Buzz Bell; sister, Gerry Hand and husband Jim; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Meagan Postel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the WOOF Pet Rescue with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
