Wilson Pearson Mettler
Mooreland Cemetery
Woodward County, Oklahoma

16 Sep 1906 - 06 Feb 1908
The Curtis Courier
February 6, 1908

Another shock came to the home of universally esteemed couple, Rev Wayne Mettler and wife, Saturday, when their infant son Wilson Pearson, died at the family home in this city. The little fellow had been scalded with hot water a few days before and lingered until that day. He was 1 year 4 months and 16 days old. The little body was carefully and tenderly laid to rest in the Mooreland cemetery, Monday, and a large procession followed it there, not only from this city, but from all the surrounding towns, where the family is also held in the highest esteem. It was a sad blow to the parents and we have not the language to extend to them the sympathies of their acquaintances.
