THOMAS "TOM" ELLISON

19 Sep 1903 - 8 Oct 1984

MOORELAND - The funeral for Thomas "Tom" Ellison, 81, a retired carpenter from Mooreland who died Monday in an Enid hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Christian Church at Mooreland. Dan Snider, pastor, and Floyd Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in the Mooreland Cemetery with arrangements by Billings Funeral Home.

Ellison was born Sept. 19, 1903, at Quinlan and attended school at Lost School and Prairie Gem School. On April 7, 1925, he and Georgette E. Florentin were married at Fairview. They made their home in the Quinlan area until moving into the town of Mooreland in December of 1941.

Ellison was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Georgette; four daughters, Emillenne Stine and Alberta Stine, both of Mooreland, Janet Nutter, Caney, and Norma Edson, Zephrhills, Fla.; two sons, Jack Ellison, Midland, Texas, and Roger Ellison, Texas; two half-brothers, Ed Kightlinger, Saint Helens, Ore., and Robert Kightlinger, Sapulpa; two half-sisters, Emily Roach, Amarillo, Texas, and Mildred Brunridge, Carthage, Mo.; 29 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild; six step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
