Jeffery Dean Bridges

Jeff Bridges, 65 year old Fort Supply resident, died Saturday, September 5, 2020 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be held at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Fort Supply on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Jeff Weaver officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Jeffery Dean Bridges was born on March 23, 1955 in Delta, Colorado to Earl Dean and Elizabeth Arlene (Clayson) Bridges. Jeff grew up in the Montrose, Colorado area and attended Montrose High School. He was united in marriage to Carrie JoAnn Brown on April 12, 1980 in Montrose, Colorado. The couple then moved to Ercket, Colorado before moving to Fort Supply, Oklahoma in 1981 where they have lived since. To this union five children were born, Shelly, Levi, Emily, Jacob, and Whitney.

Jeff worked on the family farm as a young man. He also worked for Albert Burgess in 1981-1989, then for the State of Oklahoma in the Doc-Agri Services before retiring in 2012. Jeff enjoyed singing and playing music with the Borderline band for 30 years. He also enjoyed gathering with family and friends. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Colorado and a member of the Moose Lodge here in Oklahoma.

His greatest enjoyments in life were being married to his best friend Carrie Jo and spending time with family and friends. He also loved singing and playing country and western music, raising goats for his children and grandchildren, watching his family at livestock shows and sporting events.

He is survived by his wife, Carrie Bridges of the home; sons, Levi Bridges and girlfriend Chrisy Berry of Gage, Jacob Bridges and wife Sierra of Sharon; daughters, Shelly Fields and husband Todd of Mooreland, Emily Friend and husband Royce of Mooreland, Whitney Smith and husband Braden of Fort Supply; sisters, Helen Dunlap and husband Mike of Montrose, Colorado, Jodi Horn and husband Allen of Arizona; eight grandchildren, Brittney Fields, Bailey Fields, Landyn Crawford, Ashley Bridges, Grayson Bridges, Katy Friend, Dean Friend, and Lukas Smith; two great-grandchildren, Kinlee Fields and Camila Fields; and beloved daughter, Rachael Bridges of Woodward, and other family and friends.

Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sister, Becky Bridges, brother in law, Miland Roberts, and nephew Kevin Galloway.
