Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Ft. Supply Gymnasium with Marty Drew and Gordon Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Clara Yvonne Tindell was born July 2, 1937 in Laverne, Oklahoma to Dave and Rosetta (Denton) Pieratt. As a child Yvonne lived in Gate, Oklahoma and attended grade school there. When Yvonne was nine years old her daddy passed away and she and her mother moved to Laverne where she attended Laverne Public Schools. Her mother married Emmett Alexander in 1948 and in 1949 the family moved to Ft. Supply. Yvonne then attended Ft. Supply Public Schools where she excelled in basketball, a sport she dearly loved. Yvonne graduated from Ft. Supply in 1955. After graduation she attended nurses training in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Yvonne married Leon Pingry and to this union two children were born, Lawrence “Larry” Leon Pingry Jr. and Yulinda Vonne “Linda” Pingry.

In 1970 Yvonne and her children moved to Ft. Supply. She reaquainted with a high school friend, William Bradford “Bill” Tindell, and they fell in love. Yvonne and Bill were married on July 14, 1971. Bill brought to this union his four sons, Toby, Allen, Damon, and Darren. In the early 1970's she and Bill accepted the Lord as their personal Savior. Bill was then called into the ministry. Bill pastored Guymon Baptist Church, Good News Church in Ft. Supply, and the Baptist Church at Paruna. They returned to Ft. Supply and started Roadway Church. A new church building was completed just prior to Preacher Bill’s passing. Y.T., in which Bill affectionately called her, was always very supportive of the ministry and many lives were touched by this wonderful couple by spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

In Yvonne’s younger years she worked as a meat wrapper for Safeway Food Store. After moving to Ft. Supply, she worked in the Insurance Department for Western State Hospital. She then worked insurance for the Harper County Community Hospital. She later went to work at Ft. Supply Public Schools as a secretary. Yvonne then went to work in the insurance department for WS Key Correctional Center where she retired.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, on August 26, 2015. This left Yvonne’s heart broken. She was also preceded by her son, Damon Tindell; son-in-law Jerry Castor; her father Dave Pieratt; her parents Emmett and Rosetta Alexander; brothers, Mickey Alexander and Paul Pieratt; sisters, Nellie Pieratt Smith, Mildred Pieratt Roberts and Polly Pieratt; her in-laws, Geneva Tindell and Pat and Pauline Graff, who raised Bill.

Survivors include her children, Larry and wife Angie Pingry of Woodward, Linda and husband Steve Semmel of Woodward, Toby and wife Cristie Tindell of Edmond, Oklahoma, Allen and wife Judy Tindell of Sharon, Oklahoma, Darren and wife Leah Tindell of Woodward; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Tony and wife Sue Alexander of Laverne, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, cousins and many many dear friends.

Memorials may be made to the Roadway Church in Ft. Supply with the funeral home accepting the contributions on behalf of the family.
